Overview

Live Web Agent (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Shortcut Solutions. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect data when you use our service.

Visitor Data (Chat Widget)

When a visitor interacts with the Live Web Agent chat widget on a customer’s website, the following data may be collected:

  • Chat messages — Questions and responses during the conversation
  • Page URL — The page the visitor was on when they started chatting
  • IP address — Used for rate limiting and analytics
  • Referrer — How the visitor arrived at the site

How it’s used: To answer the visitor’s questions and provide conversation analytics to the site owner.

Retention: Conversation data is retained per the site owner’s configured retention period (default: 90 days).

Note: We do not use visitor chat data to train AI models.

Customer Data (Account Holders)

When you create a Live Web Agent account, we collect:

  • Account information — Email, company name, contact name, password (securely hashed)
  • Billing information — Processed via Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
  • Website content — Your indexed pages and documents are stored to power the AI agent
  • Usage data — Conversation counts, API calls, feature usage

How it’s used: To provide and improve the service, generate analytics, and process billing.

Data You Process

As a customer, you control the data processed through your Live Web Agent account:

  • You can delete conversations and documents from your dashboard
  • Upon account cancellation, your data is purged after a 30-day grace period

We use the following third-party services to operate Live Web Agent:

Data Security

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
  • Passwords are securely hashed (never stored in plaintext)
  • Your deployment is self-hosted on infrastructure you control
  • Two-factor authentication (TOTP) is available for all accounts

Your Usage Rights

  • Access — You can view all your data from your dashboard
  • Deletion — You can delete conversations, documents, and your account at any time
  • Correction — You can update your account information at any time
